ArcelorMittal in Liberia

AMS Case Study

ArcelorMittal has invested over USD 1 Bn to bring the iron ore mine near Yekepa, Liberia back into production following 10 years of civil war. Ore is shipped by rail from Yekepa to the port of Buchanan, where it is loaded onto ships destined for the major world markets.

With large vehicle and equipment fleets working in these challenging environments, ArcelorMittal required a Supply chain and Logistics solution that would keep its fleet operational at all times. AMS designed and implemented a Dedicated Supply chain and Maintenance management Program which ensured the fleet now operates at it's optimal level.

ArcelorMittal saw the value of our bespoke solution in Buchanan and they extended the project scope to include additional vehicles and equipment at a secondary site in Yekepa.
